Tournament
22 February 2014 - Sunday
Location:
Battlefield Orlando
in Lakeland, FL
Event Decription:
We are proud, happy and excited to be a part of the
2-day Pump Paradise event
This is a special 2-man/10-ball tournament that is being held at and during the Sunday portion of the Pump Paradise event.
It is highly likely that we will be running this tournament as a single-elimination event. The reason: if there is a high number of teams playing, then the number of day-light hours available for play will require a single-elimination format. Tip: Play better than the other team for additional 2/10 game time (LOL).
With that in mind, keep in mind that a portion of all fees go to the charity activity of Pump Paradise. See the Pump Paradise Facebook page for data about that.
Also, like the Pump Paradise event, this 2/10 event is open for use to the use of any type of .68 caliber paintball gun (as always is the case with 2/10 play) and is not restricted to pump-gun players. Play with your favorite paintball gun and 10 balls per game.
In addition, time permitting, we will be running
1-man/5-ball (1/5) challenge matches after the 2/10 tournament is done. More about 1-man/5-ball.
"Challenge matches" are done in this way: you look at someone, say something like, "You and me?" and away you go.
Note: It is not expected that there will be any extra time for 1/5 on this day, but if there is...

Pay a total of (to be determined) per player either at the field registation desk during Saturday check-in or on Sunday morning before the event:
Notes:
- This is a field-paint-only event. Note: a team can usually split a bag of paint.
- Each team will play at least 1 match (up to five games) and –most will play many more.
- Play with whatever airgun (marker) you are comfortable with there is no gun restriction.
- The format for the preliminary matches lets teams play often and still have recovery time between matches: one set is played to 3 points (winning a game is 1 point; winning 3 points [games] wins the set) against each team until you reach the finals. A match in the finals is the best of 13 points (games) against the other team (winning 7 out of 13).
