Series Scoring
This should be real simple.
The team with the most series points at the end of the series wins the series.
- A team gets 1 point for making it to the quarter-finals.
- Each team in the semi-finals gets 1 point.
- The two teams in the finals each get 1 point.
- The winning team gets 1.1 points.
The .1 is an easy way to show that a team won a tournament during the series.
Ties
Because this is an accumulated-points-based series, a tie is possible. That is not likely, but it could happen. The handling for this is that the teams that are tied run a play-off match. If there are more than two teams tied, those teams run play-off matches. Play-off matches will be the best 2 out of 3.
What that means is that if you might be involved in a tie, showing up at the last event is a good thing for your team to do, otherwise you won't be there for your play-off match and that gives the win to the team that is there. If two teams are part of a tie and they both miss the final event , the series winner will be the team with the most series points that is at the event's field and ready to play a play-off match. The idea is that 2-man/10-ball handles things on the field with play - you win by winning.
